Along the way, which remains in a medium altitude of 2000 among pastures, meadows, wood and scree, you can see some important witnesses of the rural architecture related to the life in the mountain pastures. ALTA VIA DEI RE

Lenght
: 500 km

Duration: 7 days

Altitude difference: 38000 m

Location: Italy, Piemonte / Valdieri (CN)> San Giacomo di Entracque (CN)

The Re Alta Via dei Re is a backpacking 7-days route located in the Natural Park of the Maritime Alps which crosses the Massif of Argentera. The route remains at quite high altitude and exceeds in some point also up the 3000 m altitude but along the trail you will see great glacial lakes, panoramic views, dark rocks, savage valleys and the typical alpine fauna.

The places crossed by the route were frequented, for almost a century, by the Savoia royal family; we have witnesses of this presence expecially from the great heritage of hunting lodges, mule tracks and trails we can see along the way.

ALTA VIA N. 2 DOLOMITI

Altitude difference: 11000 m

Location: Italy, Trentino Alto-Adige and Veneto / Bressanone (BZ) > Feltre (BL)

The Alta Via 2 of the Dolomites crosses three different provinces – Bolzano, Trento and Belluno – eight Dolomite groups and 30 passes, always remaining among the 2.000 and 3.000 metres. The 13 adventure days let you hike among the most famous Dolomite groups, from to the Odle group, Sella, Marmolada and up to the Pale di San Martino and the savage Vette Feltrine.

It is called the “Route of the Legends” as you can walk through places famous for ancient tales: from the fantastic rocks of the Odle, which is the mitical reign of the characters of traditional and old sagas or the glacial valleys on the Feltre peaks populated by devils, witches and orcs, based on the popular fantasy.

ALTA VIA DELL'ADAMELLO

Lenght

Duration: 7 days

Altitude difference: 3345 m

Location: Italy, Lombardia / Breno (BS) > Mù (BS)

The Adamello Alta Via remains always at high altitude and develops completely on the eastern side of the Val Camonica by crossing from north to south the major mountains of the Adamello group. Pay attention, along the route some passagges are considered more difficult and for experienced climbers.

Between 1915 and 1918 the territory of the Adamello Brenta, between 1915 and 1918, was the theatre of some events during the First World War (called “White War” in the mountains). For this, while hiking the Alta Via you can see also some ruins of military settlements (trenches, walls or caves) of that period.
