OUTDOOR TEST 2023: FRENEY EVO MID LTH GV

Freney Evo Mid LTH GV was recognized as “Outstanding” and won the Outdoor Test Edition 08/23 for Mountain boots by the Outdoor Magazin.

Every year Outdoor Magazin, the reference magazine for the German and international outdoor world, assigns scores to shoes and boots from different categories and votes the test winner.

The verdict on the Freney Evo Mid LTH GV:

“Asolo hits the bull's eye with the Freney Evo Mid LTH GV. It combines the first-class comfort of a hiking boot with impressive performance on rock and ice. The not-quite high-cut upper is made of thick, but nicely supple leather. It offers ankle support, but the low-to-the-ground stance and good midfoot support still make you feel safe even in wild terrain. Another strong point is the smooth lacing.”

The Freney Evo Mid LTH GV scored full points in almost all test categories and was selected among other mountain boots: it can even keep up with the most comfortable hiking boots in the test and clearly trumps them on the rock - a unique combination.

Freney Evo Mid LTH GV is one of the mid-cut models of the Mountaineering category in Asolo international collection and it is specifically developed for alpine hiking, via ferrata and demanding treks with heavy packs.

Let’s see all the technical details of the Freney Evo Mid LTH GV:

It has been developed a completely new last which accommodates and follows the feet characteristics: a specific fit for women and a specific for men. More, the tongue, the collar and the ankle of the boots are made with the new Asolo 3D Thermo-shaped Technology: they are composed of Lycra outside, Pu foam in the middle part and bi-elastic material inside for a perfect adaptability and to follow the fit morphology of men and women’s feet.

Traction is guaranteed by the Vibram 1229 Mulaz rubber outsole, which has a great deep of lugs for self-cleaning action from mud and stones and assures the best grip on wet and dried terrains and precision during the activity. Support, stability and comfort is given by the new mono-density polyurethane midsole, covered by a Pu film for protection; an Eva anti-shock absorber is inserted in the heel for a major cushioning.

The boots also guarantee a climbing ability thanks to the Tpu inserts for the semi-automatic crampons in the heel area.
