WORLD SLEEP DAY

Let’s celebrate the World Sleep Day on an unconventional spot!

Here are our 5 inspirations:

1. IN A TEPEE VILLAGE

Location
: US Montana, Gardiner

Explore the Yellowstone National Park by chilling on the night as the North American indigenous people did in the past!

Located 5 miles from the North entrance of Yellowstone National Park and near the Yellowstone river, the Dreamcatcher Tipi Hotel is the coziest luxury glamping in Montana. Each interior, built in solid foundations, is uniquely designed with warm heaters, fluffy high-end bedding and cozy accomodations; from outside you can enjoy a restorative mountain view.

After a day spent photographing the wildlife of the park, hiking, fly-fishing or just chilling, the night may not end without attending a campfire among fellow travelers and sleeping in a Tepee, the traditional conic tents, historically used by the indigenous people from the Plains and the Great Plains in North America.

2. IGLOO IN THE ARCTIC

Location: Greenland, Ilulissat

If you ever imagined how the Innuits live everyday, you can now make authentic experience of it by spending a night on an igloo!

The Igloo Lodge in Ilulissat  is comprised of six traditional, hand-built igloos made from ice. If outside temperatures can freeze, the igloos remain around zero degrees Celsius – and the specialist outdoor equipment assures a comfortable sleeping. All the igloos are equipped with cold-reflecting thermal mats, insulating sleeping mats, reindeer skins and warm expedition sleeping bags, as well as a petroleum lamp and some candles for a cozier atmosphere inside.

From the igloo you can experience the whole silence, the icy surroundings of the Greenland winter fell and the dancing Northern lights, as well: experience an authentic Arctic experience also by night.

3. BUBBLE IN THE FOREST

Location: Northern Ireland, Enniskillen

Immerse yourself in the middle of a forest, by chilling on a luxury and cozy bubble dome.

Hidden in the woods of the County Fermanagh and surrounded by the Lough Erne lake in Northern Ireland, Finn Lough Resort has seven 180° domes with transparent walls, which allow you to truly immerse yourself in nature and sleep beneath the starry sky.  More, you can also relax in the spa, dine at the seasonal restaurant and enjoy an afternoon tea or cocktail in the common area of the Resort.

Each bubble dome includes a four-poster bed, comfortable armchairs, fluffy slippers and robes as well as a questioning game, a stargazing guidebook and an electric fire, instead of WiFi and television, which help you to disconnect and spend some quality time with your partner.

4. BED UNDER THE STARS

Location: Switzerland, Toggenburg

Enjoy a dream night in a bed directly under the stars and surrounded by the Alps.

The perfect tuning for the tourists who can’t decide between a luxury hotel or a camping under the stars, Zero Real Estate is a pop-up (temporary) luxury hotel, inspired by “Null Stern Hotel”, the art project by Swiss concept artists Frank and Patrick Riklin and the hospitality professional, Daniel Charbonnier. From 2017, they set up in some places of the Swiss Alps real and modern “rooms with a view” where you can sleep on a comfortable bed and waiting for the room service, as well.

A hotel bed in the middle of the mountains, without walls, windows or doors, just placed on a wooden platform as the floor and the starry sky as your ceiling. More, you can’t reach your bed by yourself, but you have to wait for your personal butler to guide you to the bed; just chill and enjoy this particular experience!
