KOMFORT-TIPP: EIGER XT GV EVO

Eiger XT GV EVO has been awarded as the Komfort-Tipp in the test for high alpine mountain boots by the German ALPIN magazine, the reference magazine for hikers, alpinists, climbers, ski mountaineers and mountain bikers which monthly offers to mountain sports’ lovers tours, tests and safety contents since 1963.

“Visually, an expedition shoe with a great surprising effect when you put it on and take your first steps: extremely comfortable, slides really well (like a crampon compatible shoe) and still good even on flat ground and on flat walkable surfaces. The more or less classic lacing (detachable clamp) works well. ‘Sliding’ your foot into the shoe is a little difficult, especially since there is no locking eyelet. Rock alignment works well. The shoe is light and insulates well.” This was the impression given after the mountain test to the Eiger XT GV EVO.

Eiger XT GV EVO has been selected among other 10 testing boots for the Komfort-Tipp award for its performance on climbing ice and high-speed trekking by obtaining high scores on almost all the test criteria, especially the put-on action, the fit or “sliding” the shoes.

Specifically designed for ice climbing and technical mountaineering, the Eiger XT EVO GV is the most agile and lightweight model into the Expedition category in Asolo international collection.

Let’s see all the technical details of the Eiger XT EVO GV:

The model has the outer gaiter in Schoeller Soft Shell with YKK zip closure ensures lightness and abrasion resistance, while the Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort Footwear lining guarantees insulation, waterproofing and breathability. The Pu rand and rubber toe cap offer maximum protection.
