WANDERLUST TIP 2024: TAHOE MID GTX

Tahoe Mid GTX earned the definition of “Athlete” by the Wanderlust magazine Edition 02/24 for the Light Hiking boots category.

The German magazine Wanderlust every year testes some boots from different categories and suggests them by using 4 different badges, the Wanderlust tips.

The verdict from the test team:

Asolo sent the Tahoe Mid GTX model to the test and, out of a total of 10 models tested and it scored a badge in the Light Hiking category: the model impressed the test team as a versatile lightweight hiking boot for fast tours.

Tahoe Mid GTX is a mid-cut model of the Performance Hiking category in Asolo international collection, specifically developed for fastpacking and speed hiking.

Let’s see all the technical details of Tahoe Mid GTX:

Asolo developed a completely new last for Tahoe GTX models, which accommodates and follows the feet characteristics: a specific fit for women and a specific for men. More, the new footbeds developed in partnership with Ortholite are light, eco-friendly, washable, breathable and guarantee a great moisture management and a long-term cushioning.

Traction is guaranteed by the Asolo rubber outsole, which has a great deep of lugs for self-cleaning action and uses the revolutionary Sigma Grip compound for the best grip on every terrain and the Asobrake technology on the heel area to offer the best support during descent. Cushioning is also offered by the new mono-density Eva midsole which goes from the heel to the front part.

The new AS Tech (Asolo Stability Technology) has been designed and incorporated to give structure and torsion stability: it gives incredible support and minimizes the deviation of excess knee movement and helps the fastpacker to stabilize the hike.

Best use: Fastpacking and speed hiking, excellent in rugged terrains.
