OUTDOOR TEST 2023: TAHOE GTX

Tahoe GTX won the Outdoor Test Edition 06/23 for low-cut hiking shoes and has been recognized as “Outstanding” by the Outdoor Magazin.

Every year Outdoor Magazin, the reference magazine for the Italian and international outdoor world, assigns scores to shoes and boots from different categories and votes the test winner. This year Asolo sent the Tahoe GTX to test.

“Perfect mix of stability, lightness, comfort, torsional stiffness and precision. Asphalt, rugged terrain, walking, hiking and trail running - no problem at all. Step in, lace up - fits and how. A feast for the feet." This is the verdict on the Tahoe GTX.
More, the test team claimed: "The off-road qualities, good adaptability and the precise sole. The Tahoe masters the balancing act of low weight and stability. Comfort points are awarded for the clean leading sole, which provides support and thus relieves the foot muscles as well as the ankles. Even in wild terrain, the Tahoe is convincing even for less trained hikers.”

The Tahoe GTX scored full points in almost all categories and won the Outdoor Test 2023 among other models: the shoes have a good heel fit and can be adjusted perfectly.

Specifically developed for the activities of fastpacking and speed hiking, the Tahoe GTX is a low-cut model on the Performance Fastpacking category in the Asolo international collection.

For Tahoe GTX has been developed a completely new last which accommodates and follows the feet characteristics: a specific fit for women and a specific for men. More, the new footbeds developed in partnership with Ortholite are light, eco-friendly, washable, breathable and guarantee a great moisture management and a long-term cushioning.

Traction is guaranteed by the Asolo rubber outsole, which has a great deep of lugs for self-cleaning action and uses the revolutionary Sigma Grip compound for the best grip on every terrain and the Asobrake technology on the heel area to offer the best support during descent. Cushioning is also offered by the new mono-density Eva midsole which goes from the heel to the front part.

The new AS Tech (Asolo Stability Technology) has been designed and incorporated to give structure and torsion stability: it gives incredible support and minimizes the deviation of excess knee movement and helps the fastpacker to stabilize the hike.
